AN INVITATION TO PARTNER WITH US
A MESSAGE FROM BISHOP Tim Hill
Director, Church of God World Missions
The biblical model, as laid out in the new testament, guides each phase of this process creating an effective, relevant and spirit-led strategy for church planting in this era.
CONNECTING CURRENT AND POTENTIAL CHURCH PLANTERS TO SUPPORT, MENTORING AND RESOURCES IS OUR PRIORITY.
Click any letter above to find out more about each phase of the A.C.T.S. Model.
Upon completion of the assessment process you will be assigned a coaching team. Coaches will be chosen from ministers located in or near the geographical area of your church plant. One will be chosen by us, the other by you, from a list of approved names. The relationships built will aid you in your initial plant and will provide a source of wisdom and strength that will hopefully continue throughout your ministry.
There are several training events each year. They cover various topics, with the goal of providing practical training in church planting and management. Topics will include building a core launch team, effective marketing, assimilation strategies, budgets and fund raising, and balancing family life with ministry. These events will be an opportunity for practical learning and building relationships with other church planters.
Before the assessment, you will need to complete an application. Once your application is received and processed, you will be contacted and then asked to complete the assessment which will help us determine your preparedness to plant a church. It will ask you some basic questions about your ministry, education and work history, as well as questions about your family and why you are hoping to plant a church.
The service aspect of the ACTS model has two components. First, we want to connect your church plant with an established congregation that can support and mentor you and your launch team. Second, we are committed to teaching you to impact your local community in positive ways through service. Third, our ultimate aim is for the church to help establish a new plant in one of the five regions of World Missions.

We provide valuable relationships and training during the church planting process, but we do not provide funding. However, included in our training and resources is content related to fund raising.
If theres another Church of God church in my city, can I still plant a church there?
Our official guidelines give each church plant three years to get established before planting another church within 10 miles. The guideline can be relaxed in urban areas or those with very different demographics. Click here [LINK TO MAP] to view a listing of World Missions church plants around the world.
When is the best time to plant a church? Is it too late to partner with Church of God World Missions?
Church plants enjoy the greatest success when they are launched early in the year (January/February) or in the early fall (September/early October). Typically, you will need to be in your target city and building your team at least four to six months prior to your launch.
